Educational Psychologist (EP) Assessments
(For children aged 6 years and over)
EPs have specialist training in child development and understanding how children and young people learn.
We see children who may be struggling at school for a variety of reasons. Our job is to unpick these difficulties so that you know what you are dealing with and how best to help.
The difficulties that we most commonly see, have specialist knowledge in, and that can be identified through this assessment include:

Literacy difficulties and dyslexia

Numeracy difficulties and dyscalculia
-
Writing difficulties and dysgraphia
-
General learning/cognitive difficulties
-
Processing speed and working memory difficulties
-
Language difficulties
-
Attention deficit and hyperactivity (characteristics of ADHD)
-
Social communication difficulties (characteristics of Autistic Spectrum Condition; ASC)
-
Social-emotional issues within the context of school and learning - e.g., low self-esteem, anxiety, regulation difficulties.
Fee: £925
The assessment includes:

Online questionnaires to gather background information.
-
Approximately 2-2.5 hours of individual testing.

A 45-minute parent feedback meeting to discuss the findings of the assessment.

A comprehensive written report sent within three weeks.

Post-16 Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) Diagnostic Assessment
(For students in Year 12 and Year 13, and adults of all ages).
The main purpose of the assessment is to enable the individual the opportunity to access funding/support for their study or employment (e.g., Disabled Students' Allowance).
The issues that can be diagnosed through this assessment include:

Literacy difficulties and dyslexia

Numeracy difficulties and dyscalculia

Writing difficulties and dysgraphia
-
Attention deficit and ADHD
-
Dyspraxia
Reports are written in accordance with the SASC guidelines for assessing SpLD.
The assessment includes:

Completion of an online questionnaire to gather background information.

Approximately 2 hours of individual testing – remote or face-to-face.
-
A 45-minute feedback to discuss the findings of the assessment.

A written report.
Fee: £750 (clinic or remote)
The assessment can be completed remotely or face-to-face in our clinic room.
